Laparoscopic Gynecological Surgery

Laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive procedure performed using a specialized device called a laparoscope. The laparoscope is a tiny camera inserted through a small incision (less than 1 cm) near the navel, allowing the surgeon to visualize the abdominal organs on a screen. Additional small incisions (one or two) are made to insert specialized surgical instruments, enabling the entire procedure to be completed through these small openings.

Advantages of Laparoscopic Surgery

Significantly lower risk of surgical complications compared to traditional surgery.
Faster hospital discharge—patients can often leave the same day or the following morning.
Short recovery period—only 2-3 days needed.
Less postoperative pain, often eliminating the need for painkillers.
Minimal scarring, as the procedure is performed through tiny incisions.
Better cosmetic results—no large surgical wounds.
Lower overall cost, as hospital stays are shorter.
